Over the last few years, Contabo has been enjoying a period of unprecedented growth. This has allowed us to explore even more exciting ways to meet your cloud computing needs. We are working to keep this momentum by offering you even more cutting-edge products at rock-bottom prices in 2024 and beyond – starting with our new AMD Genoa 24 Dedicated Server.
From August 2024, we’re proud to offer you a new 4th Generation AMD EPYC 9004 series processor (codenamed GENOA). This powerful CPU will form part of our new streamlined Bare Metal server lineup.
Based on our research, it quickly became obvious that we had to include this CPU as part of the core Dedicated Servers you’ve come to rely on. We want to make sure the products we offer you exceed your expectations when it comes to modern and affordable cloud hosting.
As with the Ryzen 12 launch, we’ve worked hard to give you the best performance for your money. We designed this new server to bring an even more powerful CPU within your reach.
A new AMD Genoa 24 Bare Metal server can be yours for just €239.00 / month. Read on for more information on the changes to our Dedicated Servers.
All Changes to Dedicated Servers from Contabo at a Glance
New AMD Genoa CPU
The new 4th Generation AMD EPYC 9004 series processor gives you much higher core density and RAM capacity than Ryzen. With the addition of the new AMD EPYC 9224 CPU alongside the AMD Ryzen 9 7900, our all-AMD Bare Metal servers are now complete.
Drive Now Included with All Dedicated Servers
Your new Dedicated Server will come with a 1 TB drive included, which you can expand up to 3.8 TB NVMe or 4 TB SSD. This ensures that you’ll have more than enough storage space for your server to get started with. It also allows plenty of room for additional storage if things start feeling a little crowded.
Bare Metal Servers Overview
Here’s what the new Dedicated Servers offer looks like:
- AMD Genoa 24, powered by the AMD EPYC 9224 (24 cores) and including a 1 TB SSD, for €239.00 / month
- The popular and cost-effective AMD Ryzen 12, powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 7900 (12 cores), now including a 1 TB NVMe drive, for only €96.00 / month
As you can see, our new product names show you the processor model/generation – Ryzen or Genoa – and core count. This makes it easy to select the server that best suits your needs.
The new Dedicated Server offers you some major improvements on our legacy EPYC-based Bare Metal servers, including:
- Greater speed and performance
- Increased DDR5 RAM capacity
- Enhanced energy efficiency
- More power for a lower price
- Expandable storage included
Our legacy Intel- and EPYC-based Bare Metal servers will remain available at discounted rates as Outlet Servers. These servers are perfect if you’re looking for a bargain.

A Closer Look at AMD EPYC Genoa CPUs
A Giant Leap in Performance and Efficiency
The newest Genoa series of AMD EPYC CPUs marks a huge step forward. Some of the most impressive improvements include:
- ‘Zen-4’: The first 5nm x86 server processor core, offering 45% more integer and 73% more floating-point performance per core than the previous generation
- Performance-per-watt improvements of up to 2.7x over the previous generation, resulting in significantly reduced energy costs
- State-of-the-art AMD Infinity Guard security with advanced features such as 256-bit AES-XTS encryption and secure multi-key encryption (SMKE), built-in down to the silicon level
The bottom line is simple: we can confidently say that the AMD EPYC 9004 series represents the highest-performing x86 servers for the modern data center.
