What is Hermes AI?
Hermes AI is a family of open-weights language models from Nous Research. Hermes 3 is the current line, Hermes 4 is rolling out alongside it, and older variants like Hermes 13B still see use.
Hermes Agent is a separate product from the same group, and it's the one most self-hosted setups run. It doesn't just chat. The Agent remembers past sessions, schedules tasks for later, delegates work to subagents, and uses real tools to browse, work with files, and run code.
