For all payment methods other than Credit Card, the first payment after you have submitted an order has to be done manually. Please use the payment information provided after the order process. Once you have your access to Customer Control Panel, you can manage your payment methods and send manual payments in a convenient way.

The Port speed (for example 1 Gbit/s) defines the maximum speed you can use for transferring data to and from your server. This is basically how fast the Network Interface Card in your Dedicated Server (or virtualized part of it in VPS and VDS) can transfer data. This should not be confused with a Unlimited Bandwidth. Should you require that, please check our Networking Add-Ons. By default, we guarantee Unlimited Traffic at an average of 100 Mbit/s to and from your server. For more details, please have a look at the specific terms of our offers.

Yes, we manage our  Data Centers  in nine regions across the European Union, United States (East, Central, and West), Asia (India, Singapore and Japan), the UK, and Australia.

We offer an  Affiliate Program  at Commission Junction and Awin (for Germany). You can earn a commission for every new customer you refer to us who makes a purchase. Currently we do not offer any other internal referral program with free months or financial rewards credited directly to your Contabo customer account.

You can track the  status of your order  on our website. Most VPS and VDS options are set up in minutes. Standard Dedicated Server options are usually provisioned in under 90 minutes.

We try to set up your order as quickly as possible, but it depends on the payment method and the software image chosen. Choosing Credit Card or PayPal let us start provisioning instantly. It may take up to 3 hours in case of some software images.

Choosing "Fast-track Setup" Add-On will fast track your provisioning process especially if manual assembly is required. 

Please note: No matter which product you purchase, the setup process will only start after we receive the initial payment from you. 

Domain registrations are done immediately in general, but it can take up to 24 hours until the DNS is propagated globally and the Domain is ready for use in the Internet. A Domain transfer can take up to seven days, depending on the top-level Domain (TLD). 

You can always see the real-time status of our Data Centers on our dedicated status page . While we work hard to prevent any interruptions, we post all updates on service issues or planned maintenance there.

Every Contabo server includes free, automatic DDoS protection to shield you from common network attacks. We’re constantly improving our defenses, but the best security is a partnership.

While we protect the network, you control server access. We strongly recommend using SSH keys and/or strong password protection to keep your deployment secure.
