How do I install a Custom Image on my server?
Once you have created your Custom Image, you can install it on your server from the Customer Control Panel by following the steps below.
- Log in to the Customer Control Panel.
- Click “Custom Images” from the blue “control panel” section on the left hand side of the page.
- Click the “Add custom image” button.
- Fill out the “Image URL” text box. This should be the URL where the Custom Image will be retrieved from. It should be a direct link to a .iso or .qcow2image file.
- Fill out the “Image Name” text box with a name for your Custom Image.
- Select the Operating System (OS) type of your Custom Image from the “OS Type” dropdown.
- Fill out the “Version” text box with the version number of your Custom Image.
- Optionally you can fill out a description of the Custom Image in the “Description” text box.
- Review your Custom Image settings and when you’re happy click the “Upload” button. You will be notified when the Custom Image is uploaded.
How do I use a Custom Image on my server?
To use your Custom Image for a Cloud VPS or VDS, make sure the Cloud init toggle in the VPS/VDS Overview is green. Then click on reinstall and a screen will appear where you can select the custom image to use.
