What’s the full spec list for Object Storage?

Each plan supports files up to 5 TB, up to 100 buckets per customer, up to 3 million objects per customer (increasable on request), 250 API requests per second, and a default bandwidth of 10 MB/s.

Does purchasing Object Storage affect my Cloud VPS or VDS plans in any way?

No. Object Storage is billed and managed independently. Ordering or cancelling it has no effect on your Cloud VPS or VDS plans.
What payment methods are available?

We accept payments in EUR, USD, and GBP, with different payment methods depending on the currency. Please see the full list here and this helpful video guide for more information.


For all payment methods other than credit card, the first payment after you have submitted an order has to be done manually. Please use the payment information provided after the order process. Once you have access to your Customer Control Panel, you can manage your payment methods, make payments, and set up automated payments conveniently.
How can I control my Object Storage features through the API / CLI?

You can manage all aspects via the Contabo API, with basic control also available via the Contabo CLI. Contabo Object Storage is fully S3-compatible, so you can manage it using any S3-compatible client, including the AWS CLI, s3cmd, and rclone.
Does Object Storage support versioning of objects?

Yes. Use API, AWS S3 CLI, Cyberduck or other clients supporting versioning to access this feature.
How can I enable CORS in Object Storage?

CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) can be configured via the S3 API or a compatible client by applying a CORS policy to the relevant bucket. Step-by-step instructions are in the Amazon documentation.
Is there a fee to delete data from Contabo Object Storage?

No, there are no fees for deleting objects. Our Object Storage has an all-inclusive rate so there are no extra charges. Plus, we believe you shouldn’t be charged for handling your own data.
How much does data transfer cost?

Data transfer is free and unlimited. You only pay for the storage space you use - there are no hidden traffic or download fees.
