Can I Transfer An Existing Domain to Contabo?

It is possible to transfer an existing domain to Contabo via the Customer Control Panel. Below you’ll find a quick guide on how to do this.

Request an auth code code from your current domain provider.
Open the Customer Control Panel.
Go to the section Domains.
Click “Register/transfer-in domain”. The following window should pop up:
Type in your domain name in the left blank field.
Choose the domain extension, for instance .com or .de. in the drop down menu to the right.
Enter the auth code you recieved from your old domain provider into the auth code box.
Click next and this you should move onto step 2 “Configure contact details”
If this is your first domain installation, you have to create contact information for Owner and Admin roles. Click on the “create a new handle” hyperlink at the bottom to create a new profile.
Set the “Tech-C” and “Zone-C” dropdowns to the options shown in the above screenshot.
Click next and you will move on to step 3 “Configure name servers”.
Select the IP address in the drop-down menu that you would like to use.
Click next and you will be taken to step 4 “Review & submit”.
Once you have reviewed that everything is setup correctly click submit.
