It also supports cloud storage such as Amazon S3, Backblaze B2 and even <a href=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/setting-up-nextcloud-on-vps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nextcloud<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article I am going to explain how to connect Cyberduck with your S3-compatible Object Storage \u2013 in our case: Contabo\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/en\/object-storage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Object Storage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requirements\">Requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cyberduck downloaded and installed on your local machine. (You can download it <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberduck.io\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow nofollow\">here<\/a>.)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An S3-compatible Object Storage with these credentials at hand:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your Access Key&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your Secret Key&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your S3 URL&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If you are a Customer at Contabo, all these details can be found in our Object Storage Control Panel <a href=\"https:\/\/new.contabo.com\/storage\/object-storage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-linking-your-object-storage-with-cyberduck\">Linking Your Object Storage with Cyberduck&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When launching Cyberduck for the first time, the program looks very simple and empty:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"867\" src=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14791\" srcset=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-8.png 1600w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-8-600x325.png 600w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-8-768x416.png 768w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-8-1536x832.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This is how Cyberduck looks like when launched for the first time.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You see a few options at the top, nothing in the middle and almost nothing at the bottom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing which is very noticeable is the big, red \u201cGet a registration key!\u201d-Box in the top right corner. Did we lied to you and Cyberduck isn\u2019t free? &#8211; No.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cyberduck is fully free to use. But if you want to support the developers of Cyberduck, you can purchase a registration key and get some benefits after doing this. Learn more about this <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberduck.io\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now let&#8217;s begin with filling the void of the program by adding a bookmark for our Object Storage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so, click on \u201cBookmark\u201d in the top bar:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"715\" height=\"191\" src=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14777\" srcset=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-1.png 715w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-1-600x160.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Select Bookmark<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And click on \u201cNew Bookmark\u201d in the dropdown menu:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"692\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-2.png 692w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-2-600x292.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">And add a Bookmark<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Pro Tip: The shortcut for creating a new Bookmark is <strong>[CTRL]<\/strong>+<strong>[Shift]<\/strong>+<strong>[B]<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now this window will pop up:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"482\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14775\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Select the right protocol<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the drop down menu (the one that says \u201cFTP (File Transfer Protocol)\u201d) and select \u201cAmazon S3\u201d and fill in the following credentials:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"724\" height=\"412\" src=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14781\" srcset=\"https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-3.png 724w, https:\/\/contabo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-3-600x341.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fill in the credentials of your Object Storage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Give your Bookmark a unique nickname to better keep it apart from other possible bookmarks.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>Enter the S3 URL of your Object Storage. (Make sure to enter it without \u201chttps\u201d) and make sure the Port is set to \u201c443\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Enter the Access Key of your Object Storage (which is similar to a username)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>Enter the Secret Key of your Object Storage (which is similar to a password)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be confusing for some of you but there is no \u201cSave\u201d or \u201cContinue\u201d Button. It will get saved automatically, so just click on the red \u201cx\u201d button of this little window to exit the configuration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now your Object Storage has been bookmarked in your Cyberduck instance and will show up on its home screen:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"209\" Cyberduck<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you\u2019ve successfully added your Object Storage to the bookmarks and it shows up at the home screen, you can right-click it and click on \u201cConnect to Server\u201d to connect to your Object Storage:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"815\" height=\"338\" correct, Cyberduck will connect to your Object Storage and you will be able to manage it there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, it shows the two buckets I have in my Object Cyberduck<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the actual guide is now over, I want to give you a quick introduction of what you can do with Cyberduck:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-create-a-new-bucket\">Create a new Bucket<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a new bucket (which is the name for folder in Object Storage) just right-click at a blank space in the middle and select \u201cNew folder\u201d:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"678\" height=\"435\" <strong>[CTRL]<\/strong>+<strong>[Shift]<\/strong>+<\/em><strong><em>[N]<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to delete a bucket, just select it with a right-click and click \u201cDelete\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-upload-data-to-your-object-storage\">Upload Data to Your Object Storage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload data to your Object Storage you have to select a bucket, in which you want to upload (or create one, if no bucket exists yet).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then just click on \u201cUpload\u201d in the top bar (or use this shortcut: <strong>[Alt]<\/strong>+<strong>[ArrowKeyUp]<\/strong> and select the file(s) you want to upload:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
