How do I share Object Storage with selected users?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It is possible to give access to buckets, files and folders to selected users rather than to the public. <\/strong><\/p>\n


<\/strong><\/h4>\n

To create and add a new user to your User Management list, follow these steps:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a><\/u>.<\/li>\n
  2. Click “Object Storage” from the blue “control panel” on the left hand side of the page.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the “Go to Object Storage Panel” and you will be taken to a new page.<\/li>\n
  4. Select ‘Create User’. The following menu appears:\n

  5. Fill out the “Email Address” field.<\/li>\n
  6. Fill out the “First Name” field.<\/li>\n
  7. Fill out the “Last Name” field.<\/li>\n
  8. Select a language from the “Language” dropdown.<\/li>\n
  9. Choose a role for the user. Under each role you should see a description of the role which will let you know how much access each role gives the user.<\/li>\n
  10. Optionally, you can select whether the user is required to setup 2FA to access the shared buckets, files and folders with the “Force User To Setup 2FA” checkbox.<\/li>\n
  11. Check the “Enabled” checkbox to enable the users access.<\/li>\n
  12. Click the “Create” button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you’re done the user should receive an email with an invitation. <\/p>\n

    How do I revoke a users access to Storage?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a><\/u>.<\/li>\n
    2. Click “Object Storage” from the blue “control panel” on the left hand side of the page.<\/li>\n
    3. Click the “Go to Object Storage Panel” and you will be taken to a new page.<\/li>\n
    4. Open the “User Management” tab.<\/li>\n
    5. Click the three dots in the “More” column.<\/li>\n
    6. Select “Edit User”.<\/li>\n
    7. Uncheck the “Enabled” checkbox.<\/li>\n
    8. Click the “Confirm” button and the user should no longer have access to the Object Storage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
