Can I Re-install My Operating System?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

You can re-install an operating system (OS) on your Contabo server using the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong> Below is a quick guide on how to do this.<\/p>\n

How do I re-install an OS on my Contabo server?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

  1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a>.<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n
  2. Click on “Your services” in the blue “control panel” section on the left hand side of the page.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the “Manage” button next to the server you want to re-install.<\/li>\n
  4. Click “Re-install” from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the operating system you would like to use on your server.<\/li>\n
  6. From the panels drop-down menu, you can select the panel you would also like to install. If you don’t want to install a panel select the option “Installation without panel” from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
  7. Enter the password you want to use for the new operating system.<\/li>\n
  8. Re-enter the password in the “password (confirm)” text box.<\/li>\n
  9. When you’re finished, click the “Start Installation” button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Clicking the “Start Installation” button will start the installation immediately, so make sure you’ve selected all the right settings before starting the installation. <\/p>\n

    Also, this process will erase all data on the server, so please make sure you back up the server first before running the installation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    How do I check the progress of my re-installation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Once you have started the re-installation, you can check the progress of the re-installation in the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a> with the following steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel<\/u><\/a>.<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n
    2. Click “Your services” in the blue “control panel” section on the left hand side of the page.<\/li>\n
    3. Click “OS reinstalls” in the blue “control panel” section on the left hand side of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      From here, you should see your re-installation and the current status of the re-installation. This is the best way to check the progress of your re-installation.
